I related to the fact that parents don't know how to use computers as well as there children. I've seen it in my families houses and friends houses including my own. The internet has become a big chunk of our lives. AIM, MSN, Yahoo. Making sure were always in touch with friends. And more recently talking about everything everything that happens in a day on social networking sites such as Face Book or Twitter. I usually only put something if its something funny that happened to me that day or a question that isn't to one person specifically. Telling people every single thing I do every second doesn't really appeal to me but I've seen others go on forever. Examples in the video was Autumn Edos which I think was interesting. It was great to see her have friends online but strangers constantly talking to her doesn't really feel like a real friend to me. Feels like we shouldn't get so consumed with internet and balance it with actually going outside.

I think the way they are using Second Life to help the recovery of kids with different disorders shows how much good you can do with the internet and games like Second Life. Second Life the way it is described sounds like a Second Life... Which Is a great took when used in the right way with the right person. To a normal user it would be entertainment my only trouble with that is how addicting it would become to a normal user which might lead to being awkward in real social situations.

The fact that Obama got about 55 Million a month just by donations from the site shows how useful the internet can be when used right. The social networking site did a great job finding volunteers and giving them information to advertise the campaign. Which I see as a cheap and effective way to get his name out. Using online to appeal to voters makes a lot of sense because the majority have computers. I think his use of the networking was a really big asset in his campaign putting money in his pocket to immediately spend on advertising sounding like a cycle.
